Kansas City October 4, 2006
The first night was wonderful. We kicked off this year's tour in Kansas City with our dear friend, Bishop Mark Tolbert. We were welcomed by Christ Temple Church with love. New Life started the concert off with Come in the House. They continued with a medley of new material that captivated the audience and truly prepared their hearts for worship. New Life then took the people back with some good old gospel favorites such as "Lord Do It and Lord Keep Me Day by Day." From there we gave them a John P. Kee trilogy with We Walk By Faith, God of Mercy, and Oh How Wondrous. How exciting this was to experience the oldies in such powerful displays of Pastor Kee. Ministry really took place, which ultimately set up our good friend Li'l Rufus. Li'l Rufus dazzled the people with his anointed voice and showmanship. He blessed us with his own rendition of "I've got a right now praise" that sent the church in an uproar. Before we new it the children we all at the front and proceeded to join Li'l Rufus and New Life on the stage for the final song. We then had a wonderful fellowship with Bishop at Couzin's Seafood Restaurant. This is where Pastor was asked to take part in a major play in which he would portray the role of a father who deals with abstinence.
